Roles and Responsibilities

Managing the activities of Chassis Design and Integration of Sub Systems of a three wheeler. Design engineer responsible for ensuring the design Quality in desired Cost and committed Time.

Direct focus on: Chassis Design, sub systems (Suspension, steering, Brakes, Body etc.) selection and Vehicle integration

Responsibilities

Packaging and DMU

• Generating detailed layout and general arrangement designs
• Preparation of vehicle layout reports
• Vehicle Ergonomics consideration
• 3D data integration from different aggregates

Sub System Selection specification definition and Integration

• Sub System selection – Wheels, tyres, suspension, brakes, steering, body components etc, with help of other aggregates
• Lay outing & detailing of parts & assembly drawing preparation /3D modelling in CATIA

Design Calculations and modifications

• Design calculation of Vehicle level parameters
• Target setting from customer inputs, benchmarking and design feasibility
• Facilitating Product Designing including Tolerance Stackup Analysis, Packaging Studies, Fits, Tool Clearance & Manufacturability

BOM Management and Data Release

• Managing the BOM of the Models as per the Process
• Version maintenance
• PLM data release
• Coordination with different R&D stakeholders
