Skytap Hiring for Software Development Engineer at Remote Full Time

The Storage Team at Skytap is seeking a Software Development Engineer to help build and maintain our software-defined storage infrastructure. Come help us develop storage at scale! We use Python-based containerized services to manage storage for millions of created VMs across many data centers and multiple operating systems, hypervisors, and even architectures. Our ZFS installation is one of the largest that exists, our systems have great uptime, our team communicates well, we use or invent the right tools for the job, and we occasionally do things nobody else in the world is doing. This position is for a Python programmer who is passionate about designing, deploying, and maintaining an evolving and unique platform. Youll be working with a strong team of experienced engineers to ensure our global storage footprint is running efficiently, securely, and with all the features our customers depend on. Youll be responsible for figuring out how to build new features and how to improve existing systems to meet the complex needs of our customers.
