We are looking for Assistant Designer – Telecom to join our team. This role will be based at our Atkins office in Gurugram, IN.

How will you contribute to the team?

• Design networks plans using CAD software, Smallworld, Google Earth, Network X according to the industry technical quality standards within the time limit.
• Design work includes the posting of all components of the network on poles and/or underground infrastructures.
• Verify specific geographic locations to cover in the design, by using Google Map/Google Earth and Street View types of applications.
• Prepare survey plans, Land base and other utilities validation and Digitization.
• Analyze and/or design plans of the aerial and underground structures of the selected network path (i.e.: Strand, poles, Anchors, Underground ducts, Pedestals)
• Good understanding of type of Fiber Cables, splitters, Splice Enclosures, Terminals, Fiber Distribution equipments, Modules etc for FTTX Planning.
• Prepare permit plans for municipalities and utilities
• Handson Experience in Netwok X/Smallworld.

What will you contribute?

• A bachelor’s degree in telecommunication or electronics.
• 3-5years’experiencein FTTX/HFC- Telecommunications Network Drafting/Designing/Planning.
• Experience performing Outside plant Design/CAD work for Bell Canada/Videotron will be an advantage.
• Master enterprise software suits: MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and Visio).
• Proven experience as a user of ERP software (enterprise resource planning) (i.e.: SAP/PS).
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision and meeting tight deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for regular communication with the Canada Team.
