Intro

South Star Software Pvt Ltd is looking to add a few “A” players to its elite Database team. The successful candidate must be able to multi-task between projects. This person will need to be able to work on his/her own and as part of a team while exhibiting excellent communication, technical architecture and troubleshooting skills in both environments.

Summary

The SQL Server DBA will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of SQL Server RDBMS systems, to ensure the availability and consistent performance of our corporate applications. This is a hands-on position requiring solid technical skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and sustainment of the SQL Server dev and test environments, ensuring its operational readiness (security, health and performance), executing data loads, and performing data modeling in support of multiple development teams. Must be capable of working independently and collaboratively.

Job duties and responsibilities with requirements

• Need at least 5years Experience Monitoring SQL job failures through Alerts or reports
• Need working experience on service now to raise tickets and Automating alerts to tickets is a plus
• Must have experience in SQL server 2016 installation and 2019 is a plus
• Should have experience in giving access for SQL servers and databases (role based)
• Should have experience Monitoring drive spaces on SQL servers and raise tickets based on threshold.
• Need experience checking blockings and locks to raise tickets based on set thresholds
• Should have experience setting up SQL Server transactional replication and should be able to fix any replication related issues
• Assist developers with query tuning and schema refinement
• Need Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Information services

Position Details

This is a full-time position, working Monday-Friday during 11am-8pm. Compensation will be based on the qualifications of applicant. The Database Administrator will report to and will take directions & guidance on tasks from the Senior Database Administrator

Salary: ₹1,000,000.00 – ₹1,800,000.00 per year
