The Role: Consultant Agriculture (Biofuels & Biofeedstocks)

Grade/Level ( relevant for internal applicants only ): 10

The Location: Gurgaon, India

The Team: You will be part of the global agribusiness consulting team that works on market, economic and due diligence agricultural and bioenergy projects for both commercial and public sector clients. This diverse team works collaboratively with other consulting teams within the wider S&P Global Commodity Insights team, in areas such as energy, chemicals, macroeconomics, maritime and mobility.

The Impact: Working in the agriculture, bio-feedstocks and biofuels markets, you will be at the forefront of our agriculture, decarbonization and energy transition research and analysis, helping clients deliver agriculturally based solutions and new sources of clean energy supplies, and supporting our company-wide effort to develop new intellectual property in this area. This is a rapidly evolving and dynamic sector and the work connected with this position will both help develop the commercial use of new sources of energy while at the same time deliver lower carbon intensity solutions for the economy.

• work with key industry thought leaders and researchers in the agriculture and energy transition area from initial commercial development to market expansion

Responsibilities: You will be a key member of the S&P Global Commodity Insights (Agribusiness) Consulting team. You will play a significant role in all areas of our agribusiness consulting, as well as having the opportunity to work and develop specific areas of interest.

Key responsibilities will include:

• developing and applying your agricultural market and economic analytical skills to client projects

• working on a range of assignments, including very large highly complex projects as well as smaller scale initiatives

• working as part of a team of consultants as well as independently on project execution and delivery

• working across geographies within agribusiness consulting as well as other consulting groups within S&P Global Commodity Insights

• being flexible in working on projects in other areas of agribusiness

What We’re Looking For: From a research and/or consulting capacity you will also have:

• At least three years relevant experience in the agribusiness and/or bioenergy sector, traditionally acquired by working for industry, consulting, technology firms and/or government.

• Post-graduate degree (likely to be in agriculture, bioenergy, business or economics)

• Solid economic and analytical research skills and the ability to work independently

• Highly organized and creative skills, with accomplished time and project management

• Highly effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language; good interpersonal skills

• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and to navigate and excel in a complex, multi-disciplinary global organization
