The Role: MQ Administrator

The Team: The OSTTRA Technology team is composed of Capital Markets Technology professionals, who build, support and protect the applications that operate our network. The technology landscape includes high-performance, high-volume applications as well as compute intensive applications, leveraging contemporary microservices, cloud-based architectures

Responsibilities:

• Strong Experience administering, migrating, installing, upgrading, and configuring IBM MQ.

• Support IBM MQ on Linux servers

• Provide build support including troubleshooting, timely resolution, and root cause analysis.

• Support Incident, problem and change management tasks. Implement change requests based on CM processes.

What We’re Looking For:

• Degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent area of technical study.

• Minimum 5+ years of Industry experience in IBM MQ Administration

• Design, Install, configure, and maintain IBM MQ infrastructure in collaboration with Developments teams

• Plan, test, and implement MQ version updates as well as patching activities in the underlying operating system.

• Experience with management of SSL, TLS, data encryption, and certificates.

• Knowledge of integration protocols and standards, including Message Queuing (MQ, JMS), and File Transfer (FTP/SFTP}

• Queue manager cluster setup for workload management

• Experience in web Methods security management such as certificate management, authentication, and authorization

• Experience in cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, GCP) would be an added advantage.

• Experience in Windows Server Clusters/Linux OS
