We are looking for a highly qualified and experienced Sr. Linux System Administrator to provide support for OTT, IPTV, Live Video Streaming & VoD Services running on Ubuntu servers using Wowza Streaming Engine and other streaming technologies.

Responsibilities:
Monitor and manage pools of Ubuntu servers delivering CDN and video services from multiple data centers around the world
Monitoring and manage internal and external networks
Help define and validate system configurations for high availability
Handle day-to-day problems and service requests related to OS, Server and Public/Private clouds
Perform Root Cause Analysis, continuous improvements and documentation.
Perform capacity management of help develop scaling strategy of physical and virtual servers
Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans for the servers and CDN infrastructure
Participate in 24×7 on-call rotation and maintenance windows
Complete appropriate validation paperwork as required with minimal deviations or discrepancies

Requirements:
5+ yrs of experience as Linux System Administrator, with 2 of 3 last years as Sr Ubuntu System Administrator Certified in LPIC-1 or LPIC-2
Expert at configuring, managing and monitoring Ubuntu servers
Advanced knowledge of Linux shell scripting and command line tools
Excellent English speaking and writing skills

Desired Profile:
Bachelors Degree or higher in any Discipline University
Strong knowledge of Networking protocols, equipment, and tools such as TCP and UDP configuration, tuning and troubleshooting DNS Management and troubleshooting Monitoring and reporting tools such as Nagios, Whatsup, MTRG/PRTG
Deep experience configuring, managing and upgrading Ubuntu servers
Advanced configuration and monitoring of web services based on Apache, nginx, Java, Node.js and others
Experience configuring and managing Wowza servers and services
Familiarity with public cloud infrastructure such as AWS and experience managing a hybrid environment
Willingness to work in flexible timings including night shift (24/7)

Pluses:
Experience with hardware encoders/transcoders like Harmonic, Elemental, Telairity, Matrox, DVEO, etc.
Experience with software encoders/transcoders like ffmpeg/libav, FMLE, Wirecast, Wowza, VLC etc.
Experience with CDN Networks like Akamai, Level3, Edgecast, Amazon CloudFront etc.
Knowledge of Streaming Protocols HLS, MPEG-DASH, RTMP, RTSP/RTP
Knowledge of Video/Audio Codecs like H.264, HEVC, VC1, AAC, MP3 and others
Programming skills in one or more languages like C, C++, Perl, Python, PHP, JavaScript, etc.
