Role and Responsibilities

1.

1. Act as a cost expert in product development by setting target costs, cost calculations, challenging design choices & production processes & monitoring the development.

1. Lead cost-down projects starting from developing business cases, translating them into action plans & following up with different stakeholders.

1. Generate Should Cost calculations and support sourcing to achieve savings in negotiations.

1. Create Value Stream maps of our supply base from OEM to 2nd and 3rd tier suppliers to improve the flow through the supply chain.

1. Visit suppliers and cooperatively look to improve our production processes and improve the value stream.

1. Act as an expert on cost trends for raw materials, equipment, categories, and market developments. 

1. Provide necessary cost engineering support and expert advice to the CTO

1. Assists in new product planning by forecasting costs (variable, assembly, indirect,) and analyzing costs of various options.

1. Reviews and analyses specifications, manufacturing processes, and quality issues impacting cost. 

1. Enters, updates, and maintains databases of cost information.

1. Contributes to their team or department by applying their knowledge or functional areas.

1. Assist in managing/performing cost segregation and fixed asset studies from start to finish.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

1. BE /B tech Mechanical/M tech/ Automobile/MBA Operations/MBA supply chain

1. Experience of 5-7 years in auto OEM preferred with experience in commodities like sheet metal fabrication, plastic injection molding, metal castings, etc.

1. Knowledge associated with the calculation of the costs for SGA, OH for raw material/purchased parts and services, manufacturing, OH & Profit markups

1. Knowledge and understanding of change management as it relates to the impact on dies/tools.

1. Knowledge in tooling and dies manufacturing, such as design, CNC, die spot and ting, and bench work, including spark, and eroding.

1. Proficient in MS Excel for Data analysis and reporting purposes (Graphs & Data visualization, Pivot tables)

Salary: ₹400,000.00 – ₹700,000.00 per year
