# Role and Responsibilities

To systematically develop robust homologation approval process for future mobility segment, capture statutory requirements, type approval applications subsequently execute testing against standards (domestic international). Analyse/ interpret testing and mitigate solution for a problem during homologation test in a timely manner, plan deliverables towards business needs from time to time.

• A broad technical background with regulatory requirements and demonstrated experience in compliance, testing, and certification on level of components, systems, and whole vehicle.
• Study government standards like AIS, BIS, EU, UL, etc. for L5N category of commercial vehicles. Update the team for changes and assess change impact.
• Work with engineering teams to understand the new designs, co-ordinate with test and CAE teams to define proper test procedures and conditions for critical tests.
• Participate in tests.
• Participate in design team meetings to familiarize with designs and provide feedback on concerns based on homologation requirements.
• Collaborate with the teams in researching interpretations and filing compliance demonstrations.
• Experience with Vendors towards testing and ARAI certifications.
• Assisting to specify appropriate targets.
• Preparation of detail homologation requirement matrix / target book documents specific to the platform, project, as per vehicle specifications, features, timelines, country scope.
• Homologation Budget planning and execution.
• Co-ordinate, track internal pre-CMVR homologation tests including component level certification.
• Ensure Compliance to homologation requirements (both design & test) till final project certification.
• Good knowledge of Indian and EU regulations.
• Document the work in ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 framework.

# Qualifications and Education Requirements

• B.E. or M.E. in mechanical/ mechatronics/ production/ automobile engineering or equivalent
• Experience as homologation engineer 3 to 6 years
• Has proven track record of homologation of at least one 2W or 2W vehicle, EV preferred.
• Has good networking abilities with test agencies, suppliers, SIAM members etc. and can contribute to the rulemaking if required.
• Experience in university level BAJA/ Supra or similar competition is preferred.
