ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Design Automotive High Voltage (HV) Battery components and packs. 

2. Create 2D drawings from 3D CAD models using proper GD&T standards and tolerance. 

3. Work with Design Engineers and Manufacturing Engineers to create HV Battery assembly sequence using CAD to make sure the battery assembly sequence is properly developed. 

4. Update CAD based on the Simulation team’s input to improve strength safety and reliability. 

5. Integrating all electrical components like Battery pack, Motor, Motor controller, BMS, and high voltage wiring harness. 

6. Design for manufacturing, assembly, cost, and service for the powertrain components. 

7. Work on DFMEA and PFMEA for powertrain components along with the testing plan and DVP. 8. Aware of and executed AIS 156 Norms for battery packs. 

9. Communicating technical information concisely and accurately to various levels within the organisation as well as to external parties. 

10. Work on patents in Powertrain areas and develop strong IP and Technology background for the company. 

11. Design and tune core component installation and component operating environment within the vehicle, in accordance with the installation guidelines / Subsystem Design Specifications 

12. Lead component design from concept to production including issue resolution. 

13. Work with other systems engineers (hydraulic and structures) and define wiring harness routings. 

14. Understand wiring diagrams, schematics and integrate them into the 3D assembly model. 

15. Design and assist in the installation of wiring hardware. 

16. Ensure optimize routing and components accessibility and serviceability. 

17. Develop powertrain team to scale the technologies. 

18. Validate assembly line design for the required quality standard and design of battery pack. 

19. Wark along with process design team to set up semi-automated battery pack assembly line. 

20. Define standard for trainings for battery pack assembly and for powertrain team members.

21. Work with different powertrain suppliers for integration.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS 

1. Bachelor’s/ Master’s/ Doctorate Degree in Electrical/ Electronics/ Automobile engineering 

2. Total 8-10 years’ experience in development of Electrical & Electronic components and systems design 

3. At least 3 years’ experience in lithium ion battery pack development 

4. Demonstrated creative and critical thinking skills 

5. Experience in different battery chemistries like Lead Acid, Li-ion, Lithium-polymer batteries, system performance and safety requirements. 

6. Experience in Catia/ 3dExperience or relevant modelling softwires 

7. Experience in test equipment handling and assembly process.

Salary: ₹1,000,000.00 – ₹1,200,000.00 per year
