# Role and Responsibilities

We are looking for an engineer who can conduct various mechanical and electrical tests on components of powertrain subsystem of electric vehicle like battery management system (BMS), motor controller (inverter), on-board charger, etc.

• Gather test specifications and qualifying conditions from various government standards like AIS, BIS, EU, UL, etc.
• Device a test plan of various parts in powertrain subsystem.
• Generate lists of equipment, test rig, instruments, etc. required to perform tests. Identify sources/ suppliers of these instruments.
• Identify external agencies conducting tests as services. Facilitate testing through external agencies as required.
• Contribute to DFMEA in powertrain sub-system design.
• Offer technical expertise to team in mechanical and electrical testing.
• Document the work in ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 framework.
• Follow industry trends and track developments in powertrain in automotive and EV space.

• Provide technical expertise to the team.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance.
• Work collaboratively, negotiate and engage with key stakeholders to facilitate delivery and compliance with the quality strategy.

# Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical/ mechatronics/ electrical/ instrumentation/ electronics & telecommunication engineering
• Experience as test engineer 4 to 6 years
• Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment, preferably automotive
• Strong knowledge of the latest Automotive tools and techniques
• Basic understanding of ISO 9001 & IATF16949 desired
• Experience of dealing with suppliers
• Experience in university level BAJA/ Supra or similar competition is preferred
