We are looking for Senior Manager or Manager for the purchase department which has local sourcing as well as imports. The purchase manager need to be high ethical, moral and high energy person who is also a fast learner.

He or She need to be able to work with various component manufacture and get the necessary parts manufactured as per the SVM’s requirement.

We are looking for someone from the automobile background or manufacturing background.

Experience: Minimum of 9+ years experience in the industry.

Qualification: Diploma or Degree

Related field preference: 2-Wheelers/Automobile related is preferred/Component manufacturing is preferred.

• Implementing the department plan and enforcing Quality systems according to SVM policy
• Strong leadership capabilities and interpersonal capabilities are required.

• Strong interpersonal skills, supported by strong analytical, problem-solving and negotiating skills
• Able to work quickly under multiple task pressure without direct supervision.
• Able to understand technical diagrams and manuals
• Aware of electrical, mechanical and chemical – basics, health and safety norms
• Freely working on MS -Office, Email, ERP Travelling to new places
• Proven working experience as Supply chain Professional
• Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management
• A knack for negotiation and networking
• Good speaking, reading & writing in regional languages Tamil & English. Hindi is added advantage

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Identification & evaluating the right supply sources & maintaining them with good moral & ethics policy of SVM
• Handling basic technical & full commercial activities throughout the Supply chain
• Effectively storing & issuing the materials, maintaining the stock of all materials through ERP system
• Closely working with Finance & Quality team for the effective function of SCM
• Planning, coordinating, and monitoring logistics operations for all the incoming materials
• Planning, coordinating, and monitoring of Packing & logistics operations for all the outgoing materials
• Managing the Quality Rejection materials, material sent on the returnable basis with the proper accounting
• Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms
• Partner with Management to ensure clear requirements documentation
• Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power
• Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking
• Assess, manage and mitigate risks
• Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers
• Determine quantity and timing of deliveries
• Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand
• Using the SVM-ERP without any deviations for all the functions of SCM
• Effectively Coordinating with other departments for effective function of SCM

Job Types: Full-time, Regular / Permanent

Salary: Up to ₹40,000.00 per month
