Position: Senior AccountantLocation: DelhiSshrishti, a reputed NGO working in the field of education, digital literacy and women empowerment, since last 18 years, requires a Senior Accountant to handle day to day accounting activities. This is a position of great importance as The Senior Accounts will be responsible for all areas relating to financial reporting.Job ProfileThe Senior Accountant is directly responsible for the management of all Accounts, Managing finance and administrative functions of the organisation. He /She will lead and manage all the Project budget, Accounts and policies in application with the donor commitment and operational plan and handle directly in consultation with CEO.Key Responsible Area ( KRA) : 1. Financial Management. 2. Financial Framework 3. Budget analysis & allocation. 4. Y management. 5. Monitoring Accounts and budget utility. 6. Handle all the requirements of the Audit. 7. Keeping all reports and documents related to financing and Audit. 8. Developing a budget plan for a 5-year head budget.
Overview of the role:Areas of Responsibility: 1. Maintaining an accounting system covering all areas of financial Management, analysis & internal control. Updating Data in Tally & Software on daily basis for keeping an up to date record of all data related to finance.
2. Maintain all accounting related documents like records for cash, receivables, payables, income and expenditures etc
3. Budget Maintenance& Providing timely financial data & reports to CEO/Manager. Periodic closing and management of financial statements. Prepare vouchers for the journal, bank, cash, and contra entries etc.
4. Maintain records of donation (cash, bank and In-kind) Cross-checking and physical verification of cash on hand;
5. Preparation of Monthly, quarterly & annual financial reports. As per each funding partner.
6. Ensuring all Audits are performed as proper standard requirements in connection with CA. Separate Records for Local Bank Account and FCRA Bank Accounts and facilitate statutory grant audits for Local and FCRA Account.
7. Ensuring timely compliance of the statutory and legal requirements like income tax returns, TDS, Prof. Tax, FC-6 returns etc.,
8. Keeping a perfect record for all Advances, reimbursement projects, so that all things may be in line at time if Tax Calculations and account settling as per requirement.
9. Taking care of all accounts receivable, payables, employee’s payment, Salary records, preparation of Cheques, NEFT/RTGS Transfers, and all queries related to bank statements.
10. Maintaining proper entries of bills and calculations of TDS for all vendors and timely payments of all bills.
11. Preparation of Financial reports as per Donors requirements & solving all related financial queries with specific funding Partners.
12. Preparation of book of accounts, financial statements like receipts& payment variance reports, TDS, Bank reconciliation statements on a monthly basis
13. Preparation of annual Budget and monthly expenses plan and coordinating with all Project heads for monthly preparation of requisition and settling advances bills weekly and closing advance monthly.
14. Training the staff on accounting procedures, systems, and requisites. Ensure the accounting guidelines and Accounting policy are followed by all the staff.
15. Budget monitoring, analysis of Overspend or Underspent status, verifying the reason, keeping a record and rectifying it with the Project head and reporting to Management.Qualifications and criteria & Competencies:
1. CA/Post-graduation in commerce from a recognized University.
2. At least 3-5 years of relevant experience.
3. Excellent knowledge of accounting software Tally ERP
4. Computer skills, knowledge of MS Word, Excel, internet
5. Knowledge of FCRA
6. Good oral and written skills in English and Hindi.
7. Experience in working on NGO accounting and FCRA.
8. Ability to manipulate large amounts of data9.
