Who we are looking for:
Looking for an individual with experience with invoice processing who can contribute as a high-level subject matter expert in all for all phases of the subcustodian invoice processing process. This individual should possess strong analytical skills and be able to work well with various levels of the organization. The effective candidate should possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and have the ability to solve complex issues independently. This position requires the ability to multitask and be adaptable to change.

Why this role is important to us:
The team you will be joining is a part of Network Management. Network Management has Global oversight of nearly 150 subcustodian, International Central Securities Depositories (ICSD’s) and correspondent banking relationships. These banking institutions provide subcustody cash and securities processing services to State Street in over 100 counties. The Network Management team has global locations in APAC, Europe and the US.

This role supports a critical expense control function to State Street and also ensures that these vendors are charging State Street accurately, and that we are paying them accurately and in a timely manner. The Network Billing Officer is responsible for leading as a subject matter expert and participating in the day to day processing of the subcustodian invoice process. These processes include invoice receipt, tracking, validation, reconciliation, categorization, system update, payment preparation, payment tracking and payment authorization. This individual should be adept at solving complex invoice problems with independence and have the ability to efficiently manage the most complex invoices and educate and support more junior staff with all aspects of the process. This individual should have, or work towards, a complete knowledge of all invoices and procedures and possess the skills to quickly and accurately review the work of others.

What you will be responsible for:
The Network Management Billing Officer is responsible participating in and leading various aspects of the subcustodian invoice processing process.

These tasks include invoice receipt, tracking, validation, expense categorization, billing system updates, payment preparation, tracking and authorization.

Becoming a subject matter expert in all subcustodian billing related matters

Reviewing and processing complex invoices accurately

Adheres to Standard Operating Procedures and adds to, and improves existing procedures as needed

Ensures timely resolution of issues while keeping management informed of any potential issues

What we value:

Previous experience with invoice processing

Previous experience in Financial Services

Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills

Excellent communication, organization, interpersonal planning, and analytical skills

Deadline and detail oriented

Demonstrated computer proficiency, including advanced knowledge of MS Excel, as well as problem solving and analytical skills

Reliability and a willingness to learn and contribute daily

Effectively manage assigned tasks and projects within and potentially outside the scope of the billing process

Prior experience with subcustodian banks and the financial services industry

Time TBD but current is Bangalore evening

Work Location : Bangalore with remote flexibility

Education & Preferred Qualifications:
University degree in Business majoring in Accounting, Finance, or other Financial-related programs

Overall experience in the financial services industry of 2-4+ years
