Job description:

Experience: Should be Professional Qualified with post qualification experience of 4-6 years in the Software Industry and should have managed the Credit Control function

What you’ll do:

• As a Credit control Analyst, responsible for all the collections , accounting in the books.
• Good credit controller will be organized and always have a strong grasp of the overall state of your sales ledger. Through a methodical approach, they will work through the sales ledger consistently and keep meticulous records of all calls and promises made with customers.
• Responsible for new customer setup.
• Creation of customer in F&O
• Dunning process/setting initial credit limit for new customer
• Determine when it is appropriate to place customers on credit hold and when to remove hold
• Coordinating copletion of customer set-up forms, sending wire instructions
• Ensure CRM and F&O are in sync in terms of payment terms.
• Work with sales, commercial finance, and order entry teams on one-off deals where a special payment term is offered and approved for a particular order.

• Maintain accurate records , analyze the effectiveness of the company’s credit control system and implement changes to improve profitability and reduce bad debts
• Ensure customers pay on time and chase any overdue invoices
• Develop the credit control system in collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Finance and company executives
• Improve and implement debt collection processes when there are any overdue invoices or payments, and initiate legal procedures if necessary
• Should be well versed with the Credit control policy
• Should also be very good in accounting entries , ie., debtors , provisioning for bad debts etc.,
• Should be able to provide the future Cash forecast to the Group Treasury team on a weekly basis
• Very good in handling the dispute management with the customers
• Should be able to read and mitigate any risks on all the contracts and the agreement that the company sign and suggest measures to avoid dispute
• Well versed with preparing the Debtors Sales Outstanding ie., DSO etc., and should suggest measures to collect the invoices on time
• Prepare the monthly Account receivable report and provide variance commentary on each in every item
• Should be able to collaborate with Global stakeholders and provide timely reports and information on collections & billing

Skills Required :

• Controller does more than just chase customers for payments. They have to be able to read conversations, judge whether people will stick to their promises, lend a sympathetic ear at times and lead conversations towards the correct conclusion. Obviously, excellent communication skills are a must.
• Able to collect the invoices on time
• Able to provide the monthly reports / dashboard to the Management on collections
• Expected to be very familiar with various Credit rating and its implications
• Credit controllers are expected to use specialist databases to check credit records, set up and maintain customer files . The ability to work across a whole range of computer systems is a required skill for credit controllers.
• Involved in the implementation of a new dunning process for the Group
• Having stakeholders in different territories for both queries and escalations
• Very good skills on Month end closing activities , collections and accounting
• Excellent Communication skills as this position need more interaction with the customers outside India and also stakeholders globally
• Able to independently work and provide solutions
• Good knowledge on process documentation
• Excellent teamwork, organization and communication skills
• Strong analytical skills and an eye for detail
• Proven track record of making successful credit decisions
• Familiarity with data entry and analysis
• The ability to listen to customers and negotiate winning solutions
