So what does a Procurement Officer really do? Think of yourself as one of the officers of your department so not just anyone is qualified for this role! Imagine yourself going to work with one thing on your mind: to purchase and deliver quality goods and services of right quantity and quality at the best price. As you tackle your new tasks for the day, you know that it will lead to one thing: to process and deliver all the purchase requests based on the ethical procurement standards.
As a Procurement Officer, you will be in charge of vendor accreditation and management. You will also conduct RFI, RFQ, and RFP. You will be in charge of the commercial term negotiation in terms of price, payment terms, and more. As a Procurement Officer, you will evaluate the bid results, cost analysis and make the recommendation to the management. You will also monitor and expedite the delivery of orders, you will ensure as well that all purchasing activities are conducted in accordance with the Procurement department and company’s compliance policies. Along with the other things, you must also attend project meetings and provide updates. You will also work closely with other departments within the company and you will review contracts and do negotiations.

So, what is it we’re looking for? Well, since this is an officer post we’d need someone who already has the skills to even call themselves one. So definitely someone with experience in being one, so if you have at least 3-5 years of IT procurement experience preferably in supervisory level, you can already!
Do you have a strong knowledge of the overall procurement process? Great! Are you someone who specializes in purchasing and with strong knowledge of the overall Procurement process? Then you’re exactly what we’re looking for! We also need someone with strong negotiation skills, strong leadership capability, and someone who has strong analytical skills.
