Tata Elxsi’ s Mechanical Design and engineering business helps global transportation leaders with end-to-end product design & engineering services.

We are looking for bright and passionate Process Engineers (BIW/Trims & Final Assembly/ Engine & Battery Assembly) with below competency.

Location: Bengaluru / Pune

Experience: 3 Years– 10 Years

• Experience as a Process Engineer based in our Manufacturing Engineering team.
• Experience in design, feasibility, and optimization of the body-in-white (BIW)/Trim & Final/Engine/Battery Assembly manufacturing process to delivery, based on customer needs.
• Experience on process development and layout design for body-in-white (BIW)/Trim & Final/Engine/Battery Assembly.
• Experience on Manufacturing feasibility assessments, aligned to engineering gateway releases, plus running change proposals.
• Good Understanding of the manufacturing process such as welding, Riveting, Sealing, hemming etc.
• Familiar with both production and prototype manufacturing environments including experience of fixture design/buy-off, joining technology (SPR, SWD, FDS, FSE, Laser, Clinch, Hemming, Studding, Nutting, Auto-Bolting as examples).
• Creation of Manufacturing BoP and preparing design documentations for reviews.
• Strategy Tooling Design and Simulation review and buy-off.
• Sound knowledge on Virtual Build buyoff events.
• Proficient in the use of Process Designer.
• Experience on asset re-use, equipment utilization and line capacity and costing.
• Experience on Part Allocation Matrix.
• Understanding of cycle time, JPH, take-out strategy and maintains feasibility.
• Experience in working with different green field and brown field projects.
• Process engineering experience in automotive industry.
• Experience in designing various layout and various process.
• Knowledge of GD&T to read and understand Manufacturing drawings to support issues.
• Knowledge of PFMEA &Problem solving tools 8D,5Why..etc.
• Knowledge of Catia V5/V6 to perform basic design changes and visualize 3D models.
• Experience on risk management and change management techniques.
• Experience in project management and multi-tasking ability.
• Experience and knowledge of Asset management.
• Experience in feasibility assessments during virtual manufacturing phase.
• Hands on experience in software like Team center, VisMockup, Process Designer / Process Simulate v14.1.
