Tata Steel Hiring for Sr. Manager-Energy Management Centre (Operations) at Odapada, Odisha, India Full Time

Responsible for operation of Energy Management Centre covering by-product gas balancing and distribution, distribution of all utilities to various units, routine health inspection of all utility pipelines, statutory testing, and certification of pressure plant (interplant pipeline), drive energy saving ideas across the plant, monthly specific energy calculation, carrying out energy audits through certified auditors and submission of reports to BEE as per guidelines.

Safety – Implement necessary actions to ensure Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) excellence initiatives across all respective Areas. Ensure safety requirements like SOP’s, Positive isolation, and adherence to standards are in place and being practiced. investigate incidences and comply action points.

ABP – Support in making ABP for maintenance and ensure for their compliance and corrective actions.

To support internal customers through an uninterrupted and reliable supply of Industrial gases and utilities.

Distribution of Liquid fuel, gaseous fuel and Industrial gases, SAP Posting, and MIS

100% compliance to shutdown plans applicable to Fuel Management Department

People Development – (i) Mentoring of new entrants, supervisory staff and contractor employees, conduct mass communication periodically. (ii) Identification of training needs, preparing training plans and imparting training modules

Skills

Awareness of all the safety standards and plant-specific hazards and legal requirements.

Knowledge of energy efficiency and implementation.

Knowledge of handling by-product gases.

Expertise in generating all energy reports of the plant as per BEE guidelines.

Knowledge of the operation of Gasholders, gas boosters, and gas lines.

Knowledge of Iron & Steel Making Processes

Knowledge of Industrial Gas Manufacturing Process

Knowledge of Various Maintenance Practices

Knowledge of Energy Monitoring Parameters / Units, Gas and Utility Network

Other Details

Full-time BTech/BE or Equivalent in Mechanical / Production / Industrial / Electrical / Chemical/Power Engg &

Should be a certified energy manager from BEE (Bureau of Energy Efficiency)
