SR. DATA SCIENTIST

Job Overview

Solves complex problems and help stakeholders make data- driven decisions by leveraging quantitative methods, such as machine learning. It often involves synthesizing large volume of information and extracting signals from data in a programmatic way.

Roles & Responsibilities

A Machine Learning Engineer is responsible for designing and developing machine learning systems, implementing appropriate ML algorithms, and conducting experiments. They possess strong programming skills, knowledge of data science, and expertise in statistics.

• Proven experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or similar role

• Understanding of data structures, data modeling and software architecture

• Deep knowledge of math, probability, statistics, and algorithms

• Ability to write robust code in Python

• Study and transform data science prototypes

• Design machine learning systems

• Research and implement appropriate ML algorithms and tools

• Develop machine learning applications according to requirements

• Select appropriate datasets and data representation methods

• Run machine learning tests and experiments

• Perform statistical analysis and fine-tuning using test results

• Train and retrain systems when necessary

• Extend existing ML libraries and frameworks

Qualifications And Expereince

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as computer science, software engineering or data science, is recommended. Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence a plus.

• Proficiency with Python and basic libraries for machine learning such as scikit-learn, pandas, NumPy

• Expertise in visualizing and manipulating big datasets

• Proficiency in Supervised, Unsupervised, Recommendation Systems, Semi-Supervised, CV Techniques,Time Series,Featurization, Model Selection, and Tuning.

• Good to have Model Deployment and Data Pipeline knowledge.

• Ability to select hardware to run an ML model with the required latency

• Practical understanding of ML frameworks.

• Practical familiarity with ML libraries and packages.

• Recognize software architecture, data modeling, and data structures.

• Understanding of computer architecture.

• Strong problem-solving capabilities. Results-oriented. Relies on fact-based logic for decision-making.

• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

• Detail oriented with excellent time management and organizational skills to meet a critical deadline

• Self-motivated, ability to prioritize work and multi-task across many assignments in a fast-paced work environment

• Good knowledge of AWS Cloud Services will be added advantage

• Background in new product development, engineering, and/or manufacturing a plus
