Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Supply Chain Managers are responsible for the timely, cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning and quality control of production materials. They ensure the availability of materials in the supply chain, as scheduled, and the maintenance of inventory at the established levels. They coordinate and integrate the flow of materials and information among suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and customers, identifying opportunities for improving efficiency, effectiveness and capabilities of the supply chain. Resources are focused on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through production processes, and the establishment of key performance metrics and benchmarks to monitor actual performance against goals.

ROLE OBJECTIVE

Responsible for the Import and Export material planning.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for Ensuring Planning and procurement of third party Imported Raw materials.

• Responsible to achieve inventory targets.

• Responsible to ensure timely and correct material availability as per MRP or production schedule changes.

• Responsible for Freight cost optimization.

• Responsible to Resolve Error Logs and Payment issues of Vendors.

• Responsible for ensuring timely availability of raw material in line with MRP and Production planning requirements.

• Responsible for Addressing Quality complaints raised by IQA Engineer with Suppliers and co-ordinate for Disposition of defective materials.

• Responsible for Analysis – (non – moving, obsolete/selling back) for inventory control.

EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE

• BE / B.Tech (Mechanical, Production),

• Knowledge of SAP, MS Office, ISO, IATF

• Experience in planning import & export material

• Vendor Management

CRITICAL EXPERIENCE

• Min. 8-10 years experience in Material Planning Function and 3-4 years of team management.
