Job Overview
TE Connectivity’s Technical Engineering Support Teams analyze, test and assist in research for the development of products and processes. Team members may specialize in quality control or assurance, chemical manufacturing processes, metals, electrical connectors and components, process development, materials, and/or instrumentation. They may also handle calibration, displays, network control, mold development and audiovisual work or environmental health and safety. The Technical Engineering Support Teams are responsible for the completion of assigned engineering projects within budgetary and scheduling guidelines. They plan, prioritize, and manage multiple engineering projects; prioritize tasks and assign team members to ensure that the team’s overall resources are used effectively and that project deadlines are met. They evaluate and authorize changes that significantly impact the scope, budget, or timeline of a project. At times, they may work directly with customers to understand needs, gather customer requirements, identify resources and assess project risks. They create, develop, plan, write and edit operational, instructional, maintenance or test procedures for paper, multimedia or web-based publication, for non-technical and technical users.

Job Scope : Support TE affiliates and direct customers on Product Compliance and Conflict mineral queries and requests.
Main Target Summary
Compliance Customer Support engineer to manage shared email box who would be the face and voice of the TE brand.
This vital position requires a technically oriented, flexible problem-solver who will assist customers in resolving any customer inquiries on compliance and conflict Minerals.
Supervising customer Product Compliance and Conflict Mineral requests, generating compliance and sales status report of part nos from different Application, managing the workload, assigning of tasks.
Interface with internal and external customers to have resolution on topics related to Material declarations.
Tasks Summary & Responsibilities
• Addressing emails in shared email box on Compliance and Conflict Mineral queries / requests.
• Flexible problem-solver who will assist customers in resolving any customer inquiries on compliance and conflict Mineral requests
• Understanding the difference of Regulatory Compliance against other product technical related queries and assigning to the concerned.
• Communicating with Business Analyst to obtain Sales volumes for bulk requests.
• Generating part status and compliance status report for all p/n’s requested.
• Assigning bulk requests based on the scope of work to different BU teams
• Follow up with BU TL’s to obtain a completion status of each requests.
• Exhibiting an ability to maintain progress on multiple tasks, set priorities, and manage time effectively.
• Maintenance of various trackers of identifying the requests and completion status.
• Weekly update of each request to customer or TE internal Requestors.
• Ability to use TEOA tools to improve the process and efficiency.
• Capability to lead a team of associates for daily operations.
• Committing to being part of the solution when faced with a challenge.
• Awareness of various systems / data repository, SAP, engineering processes.
• Identify areas of waste and work towards continuous improvement with a high focus on productivity & Quality.
3 Requirements for a typical Job Holder / Applicant (not the actual incumbent at TE Connectivity)
Educational Degree Any Bachelor’s Degree
Professional Experience (years in what processes and function) 2 to 3years’ relevant experience in managing shared email box. Understanding customer queries and accordingly processing it further.
Demonstrated experience in working as team and across regions / time zones. Curiosity to understand, and ability to address and solve problems.
Experience in managing a 2-to-3-member team, assigning of jobs and monitoring the progress as well attending to any technical queries.
Special Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills • Strong Written and Verbal communication (English) and Interpersonal skills
• Knowledge in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Passionate about serving customers, technically oriented, and interested in working for a world leader in Connectivity.
• Optional- Knowledge of European directives and regulations –EU RoHS/ EU ELV, REACH, CA prop 65 etc
