Job Description

As a Game Designer you will create new games and use computer programming languages to write the required code. You will manage the software development teams/project team through the software development life cycle. Your demonstrated passion for video gaming will show through your exceptional creative and artistic skills during client pitch meetings and new product development meetings.

An ideal candidate will be passionate about video games and gaming and have a proven track record of success as a game designer. You will hold a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or game design and be a talented programmer. In this role you need to have a passion for sports and adventure as you will be tasked with developing games for a variety of gamers from rated M for a Mature audience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with art and engineering to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals and experience
• Create new game ideas
• Outline plots and storylines
• Develop dynamic characters
• Create the rules of the game
• Develop user interface concepts (menus and controls)
• Manage a team with junior game designer or interns
• Responsible for beta testing
• Meeting deadlines for content and game builds
• Ensuring the team stays on budget
• Training new team members
• Working with clients or businesses to define and execute their product goals
• Leading regular meetings with other designers and team members

Requirements

• Proven working experience in full lifecycle game development
• Hands on experience primarily with C++ or other programming languages (Java, C, etc)
• Up-to-date with the latest gaming trends, techniques, best practices and technologies
• Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively
• 5+ years working as a game designer
• worked on PC game in past
• ability to create and document clear game design ideas
