Texas Instruments Hiring for Software Applications Engineer for video and imaging at India Full Time

Job Description: As a Software Applications Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Developing differentiated software on the cutting edge latest SoCs

• Developing demos to showcase Silicon capability and differentiation that will help drive customer engagements.

• Work with leading customers and end products in Automotive and Industrial segments.

• Helping TI customers in the areas of Automotive (SRV, CMS, DMS, OMS, Analytics, etc.) – solve complex issues and help customers go to production.

• Accelerating customer development process by ensuring that customers’ technical requirements are met and problems resolved.

• Creating collateral like Application Notes, White Papers, Academies and Webinars for enabling a broad customer base for TI.

You will be a key TI contact for customers and will interact with Systems, Architecture, Software Development, SoC Design and Verification teams to facilitate efficient, optimized systems architectures for customer use-cases.

Your role will involve working on a variety of domains under automotive systems.

Basic qualifications:

• 2 years industry experience in software development on embedded devices

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in EE, Computer Science

Skills needed:

• Experience with programming languages such as C

• Knowledge of embedded systems – MCU, MPU, ARM

• Knowledge of computer architecture – Cache, DMA, Interconnect

• Knowledge of peripherals like I2C, Capture, Display

• Knowledge of Video, Imaging HW interfaces like CSI, DSI, eDP, DPI etc

• Knowledge of Video and Imaging formats and single processing.

• Knowledge of Video Encoding and Decoding

• Knowledge of writing applications in areas of Automotive is an added advantage

• Ability to clearly communicate with customers to understand their technical needs and system issues. Communicate via a variety of methods (presentations, calls, face to face, writing, etc.).

• Strong problem-solving abilities. Able to break complex problems down into individual components to debug and correct. Curiosity to understand and learn quickly.

• Sense of urgency to work across internal teams to get customer issues resolved in a timely manner
