Paralegal, INSWA

The Paralegal has responsibility for working with lawyers and other legal professionals on the team and in the Legal Office to perform matter management, complete internal and external reporting obligations, help our clients get answers to legal questions that arise on a day-to-day basis, and complete administrative / coordination efforts.

What You’ll Do for Us:

• Review and approve advertising, marketing and communications materials to ensure legal compliance and minimize liability.
• Assist clients in developing business terms for contracts.
• Under the supervision of our attorneys, provide legal and/or business advice to associates with respect to day-to-day operations.
• Develop legal subject matter expertise in relevant practice area(s).
• Review, edit and comment on agreements drafted by others (e.g., business clients, other Company paralegals, counterparties).
• Negotiate contracts with limited authority to make final decisions on legal issues.
• Draft non-complex agreements with or without the use of templates.
• Track contract execution and follow up on expiration/renewal.
• Provide training to clients and colleagues regarding significant recurring legal issues.
• Draft term sheets for contract negotiations.
• Explain contractual relationships to Clients and counsel clients on the implications that such relationships have on the Company’s strategies and actions.
• Collaborate with legal counsel for bottlers, customers, suppliers, sponsorship properties and other counter-parties with respect to managing or otherwise responding to mutual legal obligations, opportunities and risks.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• At least 3 years of prior relevant experience
• Experience working in a law firm or large corporate legal department
• Experience of having interacted with litigation counsels and their support staff, coordinating execution of documents, notarizing and litigation case management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to determine and understand client objectives and risk tolerance and provide input to legal team members related to same
• Ability to develop and effectively communicate sound advice and/or analysis, including the suggestion of alternative business solutions and best practices while taking into account client’s role, objectives and risk tolerance
• Collaboration & Inclusivity. Ability to work effectively in cross-functional virtual global team and positively influence individuals outside of your span of control.
