About the company: TERI is a 30-year-old research organization working in the areas of energy, environment, and sustainable development. We are headquartered in Delhi at the India Habitat Center, with an employee strength of over 900 professionals who undertake projects and research assignments in a variety of areas like rural electrification, climate change, water & natural resources, social transformation, renewable energy (solar, wind, thermal), and industrial energy efficiency. About the internship/job: Selected intern’s day-to-day responsibilities include: 1. Liaising with government and non-governmental entities dealing in energy, electricity, and power at the national and sub-national levels 2. Working on the compilation of project reports (technical and financial) and writing report 3. Leading in designing, collecting, and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data 4. Understanding electricity markets, power system operation including scheduling and dispatch operations, demand-side management, and demand response mechanisms 5. Understanding the electricity distribution system and DISCOM’s operation including tariff, regulatory aspects, etc. Who can apply: Only those students or freshers can apply who:

• are available for duration of 6 months
• have already graduated or are currently in any year of study

Other requirements: Broad understanding of (both technical and operational) energy storage systems, electric vehicles and DERs Basic understanding of allied and new schemes such as Smart City Mission Basic knowledge of financial modeling and business models. Experience in distribution network modeling, power system planning studies using load-flow analysis Working knowledge of various power system simulation tools such as OpenDSS, PowerFactory, etc. Working knowledge of power system optimization techniques using GAMS, Python, etc. Master’s degree (ME/ M.Tech) in power systems, energy engineering, or renewable energy management.
