JOB PURPOSE

The primary purpose of the Product Lead is to maximize the value of the product resulting from the work of the Development Team for the benefit of the business and stakeholders. The Product Lead is also responsible for managing the product backlog and all steps from product development to product management and implementation to ensure that the product accurately represents the customer needs and business priorities.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

• Craft product vision and roadmap in consultation with stakeholders and clearly articulate to scrum team in order to drive optimum results.
• Optimize the value of the work the Development Team performs;
• Ensure the Development team and scrum team have access to and understand the Product Backlog.
• Define implementation roadmap to incrementally deliver new functionality to the customers in an Agile manner, while gradually building on the foundation to deliver more sophisticated capabilities through a customer-centric, innovative approach
• Convey the Vision and Goals at the beginning of every Release and Sprint
• Drive sprint- and release plans together with Scrum Master
• Work closely with the scrum team, business stakeholders, customers to ensure continued understanding and alignment on interests, priorities, concerns, and suggestions
• Gather and analyze requirements to create user stories and mock-ups that accurately represent the customer needs and business priorities
• Build backlog and actively manage in order to ensure new suggestions, concerns, opportunities coming from stakeholders are integrated
• Continuously improve backlog ensuring all items are clearly described, estimated, and prioritized considering factors including cost, business value, customer impact, and technical feasibility/complexity
• Define user stories and acceptance criteria that can be easily accepted and actioned by the development team and meet/exceed business needs
• Engage closely with and oversee testing and production validation efforts by IT testing partners.
• Ensure customer-driven design considering user pain points & usability test results while using market & industry knowledge to deliver a well-positioned product.
• Track and monitor global developments, (not limited to banking), that have implications for the product and customer experience.
• Identify existing gaps, optimizations, and future opportunities for the product and capabilities needed for effective operationalization of the product.
• Provide post minimum viable product implementation support to business users until major bugs/fixes have been addressed and product increment can be transitioned from the lab over to business for operationalization.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate complex trade-offs/messages and tell a compelling story
• Sufficient authority to make decisions in the lab
• Ability to influence a diverse group of stakeholders – strong leadership skills
• Strong problem-solving ability with the ability to drive a solution and monitor its progress
• Willingness and courage to stand up to senior leaders to defend product decisions

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Masters in Management Information System, Business Administration or equivalent qualifications.
• Minimum five (5) years working experience to include at least three (3) years related experience either specific to the product solution or in a product owner or business analyst capacity
• Applicable knowledge of the technologies
• First level Product Owner certification – Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent
• Experience in Agile Development, such as Product Lead or similar position with extensive experience in digital
• Solid knowledge of industry trends and user demands/pain points to be able to create a high-value product vision
• Familiarity with Technology/IT systems to be able to engage in discussion with each technology team to foresee risks

Salary: ₹50,000.00 – ₹120,000.00 per month
