This Global Research and Development Center, established in 2009, is located in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, with over 150 employees. Role & Responsibilities: As part of a multi-functional development team, major responsibility will include Reviewing, Evaluating and Approving various hardware development projects, associated technical evaluation, and implementation for Sustenance Engineering. In addition will also require leading critical Electrical and Electronics projects for Obsolescence management, Quality and Cost out requirements.

• Work independently multi-functional teams. Conduct and evaluate system / subsystem design reviews.
• Lead finalization of electronics design requirements by collaborating / reviewing with systems & global engineering teams
• Understand & capture product requirements/needs and articulates technical specifications
• Build and develop design concepts, trade off analysis. Component selection and suggest alternate components based on cost, function, performance and DFX.
• Conceptualize/ Build /Conduct & Document testing as per test plans (V&V- including functional and regulatory test cases)
• Critically review failures & create root cause analysis on design issues and provide design solutions.
• Create and Review design documents & artifacts as per design process
• Technically capable of independently performing and reviewing design modeling, simulation and predictive analysis considering performance parameters like power, timing, signal integrity, etc. Implement the design optimization and confirmation to requirements by using these analyses.

Skills and Competencies:

• Excellent understanding of analog and digital electronics including the latest component trends
• Design & development of electronic circuit design for Microprocessor/Microcontroller based products. Schematic Design of digital, mix signal and power electronics circuit boards.
• Optimally work with the team for timely component selection, technical evaluation of alternate components to address obsolescence needs.
• Experience working with/on
  • Industrial Protocols like I2C, SPI, UART etc. and external communication interfaces like USB, RS232, Ethernet.
  • Hardware simulation tools – Pspice etc.
  • Schematic design using Allegro16.6. etc.
  • Design to Standard & Certification (IEC 61010, IEC 61326 etc). Detailed understanding of EMI/EMC and other regulatory requirements.

• Critical Thinking, ability to comprehend the situation/ Problem, Call out on time.
• Design for Robustness (DFR. DFSS, DFT & DFM)
• Coordinate efficiently with the Labs to perform the testing & technical execution

Minimum Qualification

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Engineering (EE) with 8+ years of experience in relevant industry
• Lead More than 5 projects end to end of medium/high complexity (involving Selection/Design Conceptualization, Evaluation and Site Implementation/ Manufacturing transfer).
