How will you make an impact?
The Paid Media Specialist II is responsible for planning, launching, maintaining, updating and optimizing paid search/SEM campaigns in support of the global SEM efforts for the Thermo Fisher Corporate Digital Marketing team
This role works very closely with the Search, Marketing Manager and is based in Bangalore, India. The ideal candidate has extensive hands-on and enterprise-level expertise in SEM and a firm understanding of other digital channels, preferable search engine optimization.
The candidate must be detail-oriented, proactive, analytical, deadline-driven and constantly looking for new opportunities to improve performance and efficiency, driving automation and solutions at scale.
This role will perform data analysis and visualization tasks to promote data-driven decisions.
To be successful in this role, the candidate must be comfortable working in a highly matrix environment in a global organization, collaborating with large teams across multiple marketing departments.
What will you do?
Work closely with the Search, Marketing Manager on bringing the global SEM strategy to life
Partner with Global SEM Managers and drive implementation of customer-centric campaigns and standard optimization and reporting tasks
Track KPIs and budgets with established dashboards and pacing files
Leverage channel-specific dashboards to gain insight, uncover optimization opportunities and make data-driven decisions
Find a better way every day, leverage automation and focus on solutions that scale
Interact with business partners to understand business goals and needs
Work with stakeholders to guarantee optimal project outcome
Manage workflow and maintain tight deadlines of multiple, simultaneous projects, with prioritization guidance from supervisor
Provide project status updates to the supervisor and business partners to set expectations on timelines, accomplishments, open questions and risks
Respond quickly to shifts in the industry, in the regions or on a global level
Leverage processes, learnings, best practices, content calendars and documentation and build upon them
Share case studies and learnings and contribute new ideas
Stay up to date with the digital marketing industry and trends
Participate in scrum ceremonies and follow agile principles as part of an agile team, leveraging project management software
Be available during off-hours to participate in meetings with team members based in the US
Manage monthly advertising invoices and system processing, routing, and payment schedules
How will you get here?
Bachelor’s or Associates Degree, ideally in Marketing, Science, Biotech, IT
3+ years of experience in B2B customer-driven digital marketing or eCommerce
Advanced understanding of SEM using Google Ads, Bing Ads or other paid search engines
Advanced experience with bid management platforms (e.g. Adobe Advertising Cloud, Kenshoo, Marin, DoubleClick or Search Ads 360)
Proven track record of creating, optimizing and reinventing campaigns to constantly improve results
Strong Excel skills, ability to manage and update campaigns via bulk upload process
Experience with analytics tools (e.g. PowerBI, Adobe Analytics)
Experience managing multiple strategic clients including ownership and oversight of large budgets
Knowledge and experience with Baidu search engine
Experience with DMP management, including 1st party, 2nd party and 3rd party data
Experience with backlog management tools (e.g. WorkFront, Jira)

Excellent communication skills and ability to present to business partners on a regular basis
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to analyze large and complex sets of data from multiple sources
Use data and dashboards to inform our team with keen insights on improving KPIs
Strong time management, organizational, planning and prioritization skills
Team player with a positive attitude who is prepared to go the extra mile to accomplish business objectives
Attention to detail
Experience in agile methodology within a marketing organization is a plus
