Job Description

Tower Research Capital, a high-frequency proprietary trading firm founded in 1998, seeks a Network Operations Engineer to join our Production Engineering Team.
The Production Engineering division is responsible for providing innovative processes and tools for the operation of Tower’s trading platforms. The Network Operations Engineer will work with a high performance, low latency network spanning over 20 countries. He or she will be exposed to the latest technologies with diverse user requirements including HPC, low latency, complex multicast routing, and security.
Responsibilities

• Working with the global Networks team to monitor and troubleshoot the network
• Providing network support for production, office, and end-user environments
• Performing moves, adds, and changes in the network
• Performing market connectivity tests and circuit migrations
• Assisting the data center and projects team with data center migrations from time-to-time

Qualifications

• Experience in supporting and troubleshooting large networks
• Knowledge of client-server architecture
• Knowledge of Arista EOS and Cisco NX-OS/IOS
• Knowledge of routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, MSDP, and PIM
• Knowledge of VPN configuration and troubleshooting
• Knowledge of datacenter installation and cabling standards
• Knowledge of Unix or Linux
• Knowledge of network support tools such as MRTG, Graphite, Nagios, and SNMP (preferred)
• Exposure to multicast environments and python scripting skills (preferred)
• CCNP certified and Systems administration experience (preferred)
• Finance background (preferred)

Candidate should also be able to:

• Take part in an on-call rotation schedule
• Liaise with third parties to maintain telecommunication circuits and data center infrastructure
• Work with internal teams to make both logical and physical moves, adds, and changes to the global network
