The Testing Analyst is a member of the Testing Center of Excellence (CoE) reporting to the Testing CoE leader. This position is the cornerstone of growing our automated testing infrastructure and is key to our being able to move to an agile environment with transformative impact to the delivery of changes to the business. The perfect candidate will demonstrate experience in testing, automated testing using Tricentis Tosca and Selenium, and familiar with DevSecOps and CI/CD Pipelines using GitHub, Jenkins, and/or qTest.

As part of the Testing Center of Excellence, the testing analyst will provide expert support in the areas of automated testing for multiple applications in our Enterprise Applications environment, including Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Manufacturing Execution System (MES), Customer Experience (CX), and Employee Experience (EX) spaces.

Candidate will have 5 or more years of testing experience with an emphasis on automated testing. Experience in an Oracle environment (ERP, database, Cloud Infrastructure) is highly desirable along with experience in product lifecycle management, manufacturing execution, and/or other enterprise applications.

Responsibilities:

The primary responsibilities of the testing analyst are to work with the Testing CoE Lead, Testing Business analyst, developers, and functional leaders to develop standards around testing, implement and maintain process controls, develop and document standards of work, and implement testing plans in support of the enterprise applications. Additionally, the testing analyst will need to work closely with software developers and functional analysts to create automation test scripts to support testing in the areas of Unit Testing, Functional Testing, Integration Testing, and Performance Testing using Tricentis Tosca and Selenium.

The testing analyst will help build the testing knowledge base by creating testing platform training, performing peer reviews, and being testing advocates within the product teams. Other responsibilities will require participation in rapid improvement events to drive changes in business and IT organizations, provide guidance and leadership to juniors and peers, and assist others to grow in their testing knowledge.

Additional responsibilities are:

1. Gain extensive, in-depth knowledge of Tosca Commander and the processes around its implementation and usage.

2. Designs, Documents and presents analysis and recommendations for testing projects.

3. Define and create business, functional, and system test plans and test cases. Knowledge of Agile methodologies, Use Cases, and Scrum teams are necessary.

4. Estimate test efforts.

5. Analyzes and communicates test results.

6. Tracks defects and communicates to ensure a production stability.

7. Actively participate in business discussions and development sessions with internal teams and contractors.

8. Understands the needs of our stakeholders and always hold their needs at the center of all actions.

9. Serves as the testing technical leader/SME within our product teams and mentors other analysts on the teams in testing controls.

10. Designs and implements testing plans.

11. Participates in automated test script code reviews.

12. Work with application leads to define quality standards for applications in test.

13. Assess performance of IT products and services to ensure they meet quality standards.

14. Stay professionally current with new features being delivered in Tricentis Tosca, Selenium, and other testing platforms in use by Trane Technologies.

15. Be an advocate for our businesses through involvement in quality assurance or regression testing of software before releases & upgrades.

16. Take charge in developing and managing your career growth with the aid of clear career paths, involved and encouraging leaders, and excellent career progress tools and training opportunities.

17. Works with the infrastructure teams to maintain testing platforms.

Qualifications:

Bachelor degree required. 5 years of experience in testing automation. Certifications in Tosca, ScrumMaster, Oracle ERP (any module) are preferred.

• Bachelor degree required.

• Fiveyears of experience in successful testing engagements.

• Certifications in Tosca, ScrumMaster, or Oracle are preferred.

• Extensive experience with testing, especially in Tosca and Selenium is a distinct advantage.

• Experience with Oracle ERP applications desired

• Fluency in English required, and one or more additional language(s) a plus
