About the job

This position is needed to help lead the Quality Engineering team forming in our Bengaluru office within Twilio Flex, the first programmable cloud contact center, that will be responsible for building the platform and tooling necessary to support the quality and testing goals of the Twilio Flex product.

As an engineering manager for the Flex Quality Engineering group you will oversee a team responsible for building, scaling, and owning mission critical systems required to support our product’s quality, testing services and best practices, helping teams in achieving the Flex BU business objective of being the next generation customer interaction platform.

• Represent your customer’s perspectives. You plan for how they will be impacted by the services you build into Flex, and you always work to enable their success.

• Cultivate a culture of learning, knowledge sharing and collaboration with a focus on operational excellence

• Utilize agile methodologies to provide constant incremental improvements

Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience

• 7+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of experience and education

• Experience working or leading teams operating on cloud infrastructure

• A history of working with highly scalable distributed systems with a focus on operational excellence.

• Strong product and architectural vision and a demonstrated ability to collaborate, communicate, advocate, and execute on that vision.

• Ability to manage multiple projects, teams, and schedules in a rapid-growth environment, to coordinate successful/timely releases and achieve quality objectives

• Strong influential and persuasion skills to manage Right vs Right Now engineering decisions

• Ability to lead through change effectively

Desired:

• Prior leadership experience

• Passion for the DevOps culture
