Uber Shuttle is an everyday commute product that is safe, reliable and affordable. With just a few taps and a short walk, Shuttle makes it easy for riders to book a guaranteed seat in an air-conditioned bus from a selection of routes and pick-up stations.
India is one of the top 3 markets globally for Shuttle and the India Ops team is responsible for launching and scaling the product in India in collaboration with the global and regional teams. With the Shuttle product and engineering teams being based in India, this provides a unique opportunity to drive global innovation in Shuttle products from India.
About the Role
This role is based in Gurgaon and reports directly to the lead for Shuttle Supply in India. The Operations associate will be responsible for driving operations performance for the Shuttle product category. This role requires strong operations acumen coupled with good people skills to drive cross-functional projects and engagement with fleet partners. As a part of this role, you will also be working on setting up long-term processes to drive operations excellence.
What the Candidate Will Do
Operations Management- Define key performance metrics for fleets & drivers and build processes to track and manage day-to-day performance. Work with Fleet partners on improving their operational performance through training, SOPs & technology
Build for Scale – Build robust processes to help seamlessly launch new B2B clients, support expansion in existing cities and launch and scale in new cities
Problem-Solving: Deep dive into our most challenging operations problems and develop solutions through first-principle thinking & robust analysis. Work with cross-functional teams to implement these solutions and drive improvement.
Analyse data: Keep a tab on the metrics and delve into key reliability, timeliness and CSAT metrics to identify gaps, develop hypotheses and use data to drive improvement.
Be an owner: We’re building a new category and there’s a lot that we don’t know. You will need to be a self-starter that doesn’t shy away from facing challenges and takes initiative to ensure we keep moving the business forward.
What the Candidate Will Need
2+ years of relevant experience in an industry with data-driven decision-making
Prior experience in Operations or consulting is a plus
You never hesitate to roll up your sleeves and tackle something hands-on
Strong aptitude to leverage data to make decisions
Ability to clearly communicate and present information to stakeholders Proactive and creative solutions-driven approach, with a ‘get it done’ attitude
