We are hiring a talented Data Analyst for our control capabilities in Risk data for improving quality, which is one of the primary objectives of data management. Our team is set up to remediate data-quality issues more rapidly, in addition to the standard prioritization processes.
As we apply sophistication in our controls to use standard reconciliations, statistical analysis as well as artificial intelligence and machine learningxe2x80x93based techniques, we need professionals who understand aspects of data analysis and its application to derive value in context of (Credit) Risk Management.
Your role is to:

• gather information from various sources and interpret patterns to identify issues in F2B flow
• efficiently coordinate with various stakeholders to understand the complex data flow end-to-end to identify drivers for errors, perform root cause analysis
• interpret data and turn it into information for offering ways to remediate a DQ issue
• Report findings to Data Governance Specialists to inform business decisions and prioritize information system needs
• Develop procedures to evaluate system performance and design, and its effect on quality
• make recommendations about the methods and ways in which we obtain and analyze data to improve quality and the efficiency of data collection and analysis processes
• design and implement robust automated approaches to periodically assess data quality
• Execute & maintain physical lineage within GRC for Key Data Outputs (KDO) and provide subject matter expertise in all aspects of data flow within GRC
• Act as early adopter of innovative MVPs for DQ controls to help with optimization

Your team
Youxe2x80x99ll be working in the Risk Data Management Office within the Group Risk Control function in Mumbai. The team is global with members in Switzerland, UK, US and India (incl. locations other than Mumbai) and its primary responsibility is to identify and control the impact of risk on the firmxe2x80x99s usage of data to manage its exposures to credit, market, funding, liquidity and other risks.
We are looking for a passionate Data Analyst who will turn data into information, information into insight and insight into business decisions (such as issue prioritization or risk acceptance).
Your expertise
You have:

• a degree in Business Management / Mathematics / Computer Science / Data Science / Statistics / Economics and 4-5 years of relevant work experience
• some experience in: (i) data extraction from database, (ii) skilled in Excel, SQL or equivalents
• business knowledge of financial products offered in an IB and Wealth Management setup
• keen interest in understanding business context for the data
• some understanding of measures used in models for Credit Risk measurement
• ability to quickly understand complex processes and challenge the status quo, identify risks and inadequacies in procedures, as well as propose practical and sustainable solutions
• ability to clearly communicate expectations to team members and stakeholders
• strong verbal and written communication skills
• an analytical mind and inclination for problem-solving, an attention to detail

• able to fast develop concise holistic knowledge of the data architecture & flow
• able to work with little or no supervision & comfortable with learning new technologies
• able to exercise judgment to analyse and solve problems without clear precedent
• proactive and able to work effectively with a team and independently
• intellectually curious and able to train yourself on various techniques and tools
• able to multi-task, handle multiple requests simultaneously and communicate deadlines effectively, knowing when to escalate
• good in presentation skills, comfortable in interacting with colleagues at all levels
• thorough and rigorous in executing your task without losing track of whatxe2x80x99s important
