I. ROLE PURPOSE & OBJECTIVE

1. The role objective is to identify the patterns, trends and anomalies in the customer transaction pattern in comparison with the customer profile. To prevent, mitigate and report suspicious activities related to money laundering and terrorism financing in compliance to statutory and regulatory requirements.

2. AML compliance is both a statutory and regulatory requirement dictated under PMLA and RBI Master directions on KYC/AML. Non-compliance to the requirement will lead to regulatory, reputational and financial risk.

III. KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE

1. Business/ Financials

• Identification and reporting of AML issues / Patterns.
• To maintain required Productivity levels of Transaction monitoring reviews (Alerts/Cases) in line with the targets Specified.
• Maintaining quality of closure comments and review as per the procedure manual.
• Ensure strict adherence to AML KYC regulatory guidelines, policies and procedures.

2. Customer (Both Internal & External)

• Providing AML/KYC related clarifications to team and stakeholders in a timely and satisfying manner.
• Liaise with branches/ RM for raising and resolution of RFI, EDD requirements.
• Participating in branch connect and providing clarifications for AML related aspects.

3. Internal Process

• Completion of Alerts (both Name screening and AML) / Cases, within prescribed timelines with quality.
• Maintenance of trackers. Timely and accurate MIS sharing.
• Highlight potential gaps in systems / Processes.
• Adherence to policies and procedures. Nil instances of system and process controls / policy violations.
• Active Participation and contribution in team meetings, trainings, events

4. Innovation & Learning

• Keeping updated on the regulatory standards, industry practices, knowledge sharing with team members, contribution in various trainings, preparation of training materials.
• Support management in implementation of any other initiative that may arise during the course of the year, Adhoc investigations.
