Job Description:
JOB TITLE: Assistant Finance Manager
LOCATION: UniOps Bangalore
MAIN JOB PURPOSE:
The main purpose of the role is to support the leadership team and act as a finance business partner to IT Service Line Directors. Enabling them to unlock value through both strategic and operational interventions.
The role is responsible for both short and long-term performance Service Line planning and reviews. The role will cover the full range of performance activities, leveraging the information sets provided by the FET to forecast and drive gap closing discussions, as well as driving interventions to unlock value.
JOB SUMMARY
Finance Business partnering for one of the Uniops IT Service Lies, both for BAU and Investments
Tracking the progress and identify opportunities to reduce gap to budgets as provided by Central teams
Review, analyze and perform due diligence of the business cases for platform projects and provide sign-offs as appropriate to enable the project team to start spending on the project.
Support the service lines on cross charges to and from other functions and PMUs : collating the next year’s ask, review and discussion with the functions/beneficiaries.
Involvement in the bottom up forecasting process to set the budgets of the year (Zero based budgeting)
Driving the business case review initiative to enable the management to get more insights and help in decision making while reviewing the IT business cases.
Review and compliance of Out of governance cases. Stakeholder engagement to ensure there is no overspends over and above the project budget.
Key role to identify opportunities to reduce the cost through FTE capitalisation and intercompany cross charges through constant engagement with service lines.
Engage with Finance Controllers and Performance Management (FET) teams to ensure communication between different finance functions and service lines is clear
Present monthly finance performance to service line and identify necessary interventions

IT Finance Director
Finance Controllers & FET Team
Finance representatives from central functions like Digital R&D, Digital Supply Chain etc
Tax, Treasury, GCAD (via controllers)
KEY REQUIREMENTS
Ability to hold people accountability, high level of responsibility, have a bias for action and growth mind set.
Strong analytical skills, Excel modelling skills and attention to detail (data accuracy and identification of errors)
Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
Ability to work collaboratively with key stakeholders and strong communication and influencing skills.
Experience in Decision Support – business cases, financial rigour, governance.
