Main Job Purpose

In order to underpin the ongoing development of the Employee Technology platform and maintain its strategic direction, Unilever are building and establishing an Employee Technology Team .

As part of the Employee Technology, Assistant Finance Manager is required to become a critical part of the team. The Assistant Finance Manager will work closely with the Commercial Manager, Portfolio Demand Manager and Leadership team, to drive financial and commercial activities aligned to Unilever financial rules and roadmap.

Core Accountabilities

• Accountable for tracking and managing the 3rd Party Budget & Spend across all Contracts working with VMO & SL Leadership, Service owners & FBP’s
• Manage the forecasting for respective service line and perform forecast vs actual analysis
• Ensures timely creation of PO’s and Drives adherence of No PO No Pay policy and POT (Payment on Time) target achievement with business entities and service providers
• Define & own month end close calendar compliance (Goods Receipt, Accruals, prepayments) Clearly calling out milestones & deliverables for each of the process block
• Focus on continuous improvement in operational efficiency by identifying opportunities for process simplification / standardization
• Be the Subject Matter Expert and single point of contact for both business teams and Stakeholders
• Query resolution on invoices, purchase requisitions and Payments.
• Commercial evaluation and analysis of ITIB related project costs.
• Provide financial expertise to the stake holders for correct booking, correct financial treatment.
• Collecting / querying / consolidating information from accounting / ERP systems (SAP)
• Managing financial data with focus on hygiene of master data and transactional data.
• Ability to work closely with a cross section of the team to support delivery

KEY SKILS AND REQUIREMENT

• At least 3-5 years relevant experience within Financial support role within a complex global environment
• Strong overall knowledge of Unilever finance processes and rules, and a proven track record delivering within this framework.
• The ability to work with a diverse team, and nurture and develop the team in a globally distributed environment
• Ability to look ahead at the roadmap and identify opportunities
• Demonstrate examples where you’ve had to adapt and learn quickly to meet challenges, and been able to deal with challenging stakeholders and have adopted methods to gain an agreed outcome
• Confident leadership and influencing style, being able to make an impact with various diverse teams
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Flexibility to learn, refine and adjust to changing business outcomes
• Passionate about building a team, implementing great ways of working and improving all of the time
• Demonstrates the ability to make, and take responsibility for sounds decisions
