Reports To: Production Manager
Role Purpose
To manage and coordinate daily manufacturing operations during the general shift at HUL’s Mysore Plant ensuring smooth production flow, adherence to safety and quality standards, and timely delivery targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Production Oversight
- Monitor and control production activities during assigned shift
- Ensure efficient utilization of manpower and machinery
- Coordinate maintenance needs with engineering teams
- Quality & Compliance
- Ensure all products meet HUL’s quality standards and specifications
- Enforce GMP, hygiene, and EHS protocols across the floor
- Conduct audits and routine inspections for compliance
- Team Leadership
- Supervise shop-floor staff, operators, and technicians
- Conduct shift briefings and allocate responsibilities
- Resolve operational issues and escalate where necessary
- Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain shift logs, production reports, and downtime records
- Monitor process KPIs and suggest continuous improvement ideas
- Safety & Sustainability
- Champion EHS initiatives and zero-incident culture
- Drive energy efficiency and waste reduction in shift operations
