Our Sales team is the largest revenue-generation department at United. They work closely with travel agencies, United travel departments, and corporate clients.

Job overview and responsibilities

An action-oriented analyst that uses critical thinking to convert business requirements to data-driven insights. Must work closely with onshore teams and support the generation of Sales incentive contracts and further mine data to produce contract performance reporting and calculative incentive payouts. This position holder should possess the ability to connect and correlate data points from the different systems to draw strategic insights. Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders in Domestic Sales will be a key to this roleAction oriented analyst that uses critical thinking to convert business requirements to data driven insights. • Actively works with Sales support teams to produce legally accurate contracting documents. Develop a process to periodically measure and report contract performance.

• Partner with business teams to understand business requirements and support their data needs.

• Own and manage multiple data initiatives and projects both on an on-going and an ad-hoc basis, while using new approaches of data analytics. Deep knowledge and execution of SQL (or related) programs with minimal direction and supervision.

• Focus on validating, improving, and streamlining the business processes that will reduce the manual effort, using tools like VBA and Advance Excel.

• Support ad-hoc projects for the Sales Policy team which involves data crunching and auditing processes.

• Work with Sales Managers to plan and roll out promotional campaigns to targeted customers and measure performance.

• Actively support the Product team with product transition ensuring complete knowledge of old system processing and transition to new tools

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of relevant work experience.

• Math, Statistics, Operations Research and/or MBA preferred.

• 2-4 years in an analytics role in data services

• Be proficient in using database querying tools and able to write complex queries and procedures using Teradata SQL and/or Microsoft TSQL 1+ years of experience in any of visualization tool (Pow er BI, Tableau, Spotfire, etc.

Preferred

• Master’s Degree

• Expertise in database management and querying languages

• Able to understand the data and design and implement normalized data models/ structures.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
