United Airlines is seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst for their RPA COE, who will be responsible for providing consultation services to internal customers. The Business Analyst should have specialized knowledge in digital technology, with technical proficiency in the business unit’s systems, capabilities, and associated technologies. The Business Analyst scrutinizes customer procedures and needs and produces designated project documentation in compliance with UAL IDF standards, with a focus on hyper-automation projects.

Responsibilities

· Assists in business process redesign as needed

· Maintains communication with customer and team members and promotes a team environment

· Manages and contributes to multiple complex automation projects, leveraging subject matter expertise in the business domain.

· Independently documents detailed requirements including user stories (use cases), complex workflow models, process maps, and PDDs, while adhering to Agile principles.

· Facilitates the resolution and root cause analysis of questions and issues that arise during project execution.

· Demonstrates understanding of fundamental business principles and industry best practices to identify areas for process improvement.

· Facilitates meetings with Technology and Business Leaders to develop and prioritize requirements, while ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.

· Works independently, providing guidance, tools, and process support to less senior team members, while continuously seeking ways to optimize project delivery.

This position is offered on local terms and conditions. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded.

Qualifications

Requirements:

· A BS/BA degree, preferably in Information Technology or Business, or equivalent experience, education, or training is required.

· 5+ years of IT and/or business experience, or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training is necessary.

· A minimum of 3 years of business analysis experience is required.

· Must have completed multiple projects involving the creation or enhancement of applications.

· An Eye for Business is essential – it involves understanding and the ability to apply business domain knowledge to define requirements and design solutions that meet the needs of the business.

· Industry Solution Knowledge is crucial – it involves having a conceptual understanding of IT applications supporting the airline industry, their primary user functions, and the supporting technology platform as a basis for delivering robust and reliable solutions.

· Excellent communication skills are required, including the ability to communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of employees and management. You must be capable of successful formal and informal communication and be able to speak and write clearly and understandably at the right level.

· Integrity and Trust are critical – it involves being widely trusted, being seen as a direct, truthful individual who can present the unvarnished truth in an appropriate and helpful manner, keep confidences, admit mistakes, and not misrepresent oneself for personal gain.
