Primary Responsibilities:

• Oversee the design, development, and deployment of Java web service applications

• Act as service-level owner of high-revenue, business-critical production service

• Lead the response to any incidents or outages, ensuring quick resolution and minimal impact on users

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software engineers and coach on opportunities and career growth

• Guide the team in Scaled Agile (SAFe) best practices for coding, testing, and deployment

• Oversee the implementation and management of Docker-contained microservices via AKS for event-driven communication

• Work closely with product managers, stakeholders, and other engineering teams to align on project goals and deliverables

• Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience

• 13+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on Java applications

• 4+ years of experience in a leadership or managerial role

• Extensive experience in Java programming, including knowledge of frameworks such as Spring and Hibernate

• Proven experience with cloud platforms, preferably Azure

• Experience with Oracle, Postgres, Snowflake or similar databases

• Experience in designing and managing microservices, including containerization with Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes

• Solid knowledge of AKS, event-driven architectures, REST APIs

• Experience creating and maintaining Splunk dashboards for production service monitoring, troubleshooting and performance improvement.
