Software Engineering Core Tasks:

• Reuse, develop, and share components, products, and services to design modular, flexible, scalable, secure, reliable, and quality solutions that deliver business value through superior user experience

• Build processes and diagnostics to troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize solutions and respond to customer and production issues

• Participate in the full product lifecycle including proof of concepts, architect, design and build, user stories, research, and demos

• Embrace continuous learning of engineering practices to ensure industry best practices and technology adoption, including DevOps, Cloud, and Agile thinking

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and operate secure cloud platform services and software that meet business requirements

• Demonstrate proven experience with the full development life cycle for large-scale software products, including extensive experience with service-oriented architectures, design patterns, and web services

• Understand product, project, and consumer priorities and follow Agile methodologies to deliver features within time

• Create and be involved in documented designs following agreed design patterns and standards

• Perform coding and unit testing independently and assist/mentor team members whenever required

• Adhere to coding standards

• Communicate effectively with other engineers, QE, and onshore teams

• Support the QE team during testing via defect fixes, code deployment, and clarifications

• Fully encourage and facilitate high-quality code through support of QE team efforts, including mentoring, assistance, and writing/executing automation tests as needed

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in any of the programming languages – Java/Python

• 7+ years of experience

• 7+ years of experience in large-scale distributed system development, including hands-on operational experience

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, AngularJS/ReactJS, NoSQL Database, Redis, Docker/Kubernetes, GitHub

• 4+ years of experience working in a cloud environment, preferably Azure

• 3+ years of experience working with Microservices and event-driven architecture like Kafka

• 2+ years of experience in cloud environments and architectures, preferably Azure

• 2+ years of engineering experience in building infrastructure using code (Terraform) and repeatable designs

• 2+ years of experience in automation of CI/CD using GitHub actions or JPAC and source control systems such as Git

• 2+ years of experience with Agile/lean development practices

• Hands-on experience in full automated testing frameworks (unit & integration)

• Hands-on experience working on CICD platforms and monitoring

• Experience in REST APIs design and development using Spring Boot, Microservices, and COSMOS or Elastic Search

• Experience using containers (PaaS)

• Experience mentoring/training an engineering community on development best practices

• Experience with Azure Databricks ,Snowflake & the Azure Ecosystem and should have experience in building Data pipelines

• Intermediate Python experience in data manipulation and analysis

• In-depth knowledge of system programming, understanding system performance tradeoffs, load balancing, and engineering for high availability

• Technology Stack:

• Knowledge of Azure cloud

• Knowledge of Java/C#/Python

• Knowledge of Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices, COSMOS, Azure, focus on data, etc.

• Knowledge of CICD platform and monitoring – namely GitHub/Jenkins/Grafana, Prometheus

• Knowledge of Java/Microservices/Spring Boot/Spring Reactive/JavaScript/HTML/CSS

• Knowledge of React Js/React Micro-front ends

• Knowledge of Azure Databricks, Snowflake, DWH, Datalake house, Data Architecure Design patterns and implementation
