Mission

Within the Material Engineering discipline, the Material Engineer will be responsible for Material Data validation and

Database creation

In this transverse role, the Material Analysis engineer will be in charge of the collection of the material properties data,

consolidation and categorization of material data according to the group requirement. Material engineer will act as Material

Database custodian and to offer the right support to the Valeo Business Group teams.

Responsibilities

Main responsibilities

● Technical missions

o Understand and interpretation of Test/Analysis results

o Interpretation for Material Testing Standard such as ISO, ASTM

o Define and initiation of Test for specific properties

o Discuss with various domains and understand their requirements in term of Material properties

o Provide metrics about activities

o In future:

▪ Propose solutions to improve efficiency and reduce issues

▪ Define best practices and design rules, coming from analysis in order to improve efficiency and

reduce the issues.

● General missions

o Should have knowledge on executing tasks in project management mode

o Drive and monitor the Material analysis and report

o Involved in the domain meetings via technical presentations

o Involved in the technology watch, the research and the deployment of innovative analysis and in order to

maintain the excellence in the domain

o Build credibility to the project teams for all Valeo Business Group teams

o Capitalise & collect warranty returns to help Valeo laboratories
