Job Description

Duties

Key in information and maintain database systems of high availability and quality, obtaining further information for incomplete records

Design and implement databases in accordance with specification and requirements

Perform tests and evaluations to ensure data remains consistent across all systems

Monitor database performance, implement changes and apply new patches and versions when required

Maintain documentation of new or amended procedures

Investigate database failures, error log entries and other problems and propose and implement solutions

Effectively communicate issues to others with less detailed database knowledge such that problems can be explained by key stakeholders

Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders when necessary to obtain data required for reporting

Reviewing and grading supplier social audits in accordance with internal guidelines

Grading and classifying products using Sustainability calculator

Carry out data cleansing activity to ensure accuracy and improve insight and intelligence

Person specification

Fluent English

Excellent IT skills, in particular Excel and data management

Good communication skills

Excellent attention to detail with the ability to focus on quality
