Position Headline:
Responsible for accounting and finance operations, including administrative direct and indirect tax requirements, of Varian India.
Areas of Responsibilties:
Manage and ensure compliance of statutory accounting and regulatory requirements
Manage and ensure compliance of Varian Siemens Group Financial Reporting Guideline and relevant accounting regulations.
Manage accounting operations such as cash and bank, fixed assets, journal voucher, inter-company accounting, monthly closing of books, Managing Accruals, Treasury Operations and others
Understanding and working knowledge of FEMA ,bank guarantees and letter of credits
Support around data requirement for auditors direct and indirect tax administrative requirements
Have an acumen to deepdive in to Financials from Statutory point of view knowdlge of IND-AS and IFRS and company law
Content review of financial statements, timely alignment with business and management
Support digitalization initiatives and improvements in processes and procedures, and implement global initiatives
Establish and execute internal controls in operations and implementation of measures to remediate deficiencies
Coordinate with the Business Team , Auditors and Regional Finance team ensuring competencies in tasks and responsibilities

AC and FI community, HQ, Functions TRE, Tax, HR, EY auditor, central bank, external bank, tax authorities, CFR, SOP IT, SOP SCM etc
Experience
Experience in Financial Audit and Financial Controlling or related field in large organisation
Previous experience in Audit with Big-4 (either Auditee or Auditor).
Knowledge of Trade Finance and International trades (FEMA)
Experience and exposure to business requirements of diversified industries, managing accounting and finance operations, including administrative direct and indirect tax requirements
Strong leadership in team management and high performance culture embracing Siemens principles
SAP FICO knowledge
Excellent MS Excel and MS Powerpoint and presentation skills.
Education
Chartered Accountant/ICWA with a post qualification experience of 4-5 years CA Finalist with 5-10 Yrs
Graduate / Post graduate in Commerce.
Varian is required to comply with all local and applicable regulations that may be associated with vaccine requirements for certain roles.
