The Microsoft Azure Administrator is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing Microsoft Azure solutions. This includes the design and implementation of cloud infrastructure, the integration of on-premises systems with Azure services, and the security of cloud resources, managing the configuration, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of cloud-based services.
The ideal candidate for this role will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of Azure. This includes configuring and maintaining virtual machines, storage, virtual networks, and load balancers. Additional knowledge in Containers, Windows virtual Desktop & automation are more desirable.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Designing and implementing Azure infrastructure to meet customer’s business needs including compute, storage, networking, virtual machine scale sets, containers, etc.Deploying workloads to meet customer’s business needs.Securing resources to meet customer’s desired level of security including enforcing least privilege access policies to protect data in motion and at rest.Integrating on-premises systems with Azure services such as integrating on-premises Active Directory with Azure Active Directory or SQL Server with Azure SQL Database.Implementing disaster recovery scenarios for customers’ data loss scenarios for their datacenter or virtual machines that are hosted.Work with other teams to maintain the health and performance of the Azure environment.Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.Maintain a strong knowledge of Azure products, including but not limited to SQL Databases, Redis Cache, Virtual Machines, Websites, Websites on Linux, Service Bus Queues and Topics, Service Bus Relay Servers, Storage Accounts, Data Factory, Data Lake Store.Monitor all aspects of the environment for potential issues or risks – Monitor security threats to ensure that vulnerabilities are identified and addressed in a timely manner.Configure and maintain virtual machines, storage, virtual networks, and load balancersTroubleshoot issues with the Virtual Machines running in Azure and Virtual Networks connecting to AzureMaintain physical network devices.Installing patches and making configuration changes as neededCreate backups of the Virtual Machines running in AzureMonitor the performance of Virtual Machines running in AzureMonitor the availability of storage resources in AzurePrepare for disaster recovery by backing up data from Storage Resources in AzureMonitor logs from the Virtual Machines running in AzureProvide technical assistance to customers with questions about their Microsoft Azure subscriptionBasic Azure container operations.Basic Azure Windows Virtual Desktop operations.Manage the product throughout the Product Lifecycle, gather and prioritize product and customer requirements, define the product vision, work with engineering to deliver winning products.
Qualifications:
Overall 6+ years’ experience in Cloud Technologies and recent 2 years particularly in AzureBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
