The ideal candidate will be a strong Salesforce developer with exposure to working in an integrated development environment. The candidate will be a part of the Salesforce development team and will be responsible for delivering high quality deliverables within committed timelines.

Primary responsibilities include :

• Working closely with VIT System Analysts and business super users to capture, document, and verify the requirements of the project stakeholders and end users.

• Perform fit-gap analysis and detailed estimation for Salesforce.com development.

• Delivery of Functional and Technical design documents for salesforce development.

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance practices like root cause analysis to remove and prevent defects.

The candidate filling this role will have an opportunity to learn additional applications—the landscape of Varian’s Service solution which includes Salesforce field service, Salesforce communities, Boomi, Adobe sign and more. The role will also offer an opportunity to learn about the integration of Salesforce platform with various other line of business’ including Varian’s SAP ERP system.

Areas of Focus

• An understanding of contemporary requirements gathering, analysis, validation, and best coding practices.

• Experience working with cross-functional teams across all levels of the organization.

• Design, configure, develop, and execute Salesforce assignments.

• Pro-actively identify areas of improvement and functional gaps in existing Salesforce.com setup

• Support the design, implementation, and rollout of Salesforce releases to Varian’s landscape.

Desired Skills and Experience

At least 1 full lifecycle SalesForce.com implementations

• At least 4 years of Salesforce development experience with strong knowledge of APEX, LC and LWC platforms.

• Familiar with standard Salesforce functionalities which includes workflows, data loader, flows and validation rules.

• Good functional knowledge of Salesforce’s Sales and Service Cloud.

• Experience integrating data from external systems into Salesforce and vice versa using Boomi and other integration technologies like Web services, SOAP, XML.

• Experience working with multiple parallel releases for Salesforce implementation

• Experience configuring workflows and customizations for Salesforce implementation

• Should be able to manage full application development cycle including, debugging, code review, unit testing, basic troubleshooting especially with Agile development experience.

• Experience with Integrated development environment, i.e. Visual studio

• Experience with HTML/CSS/JavaScript is preferred

• Experience in a SCRUM Agile development environment is preferred

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in computer science or related technical field or equivalent experience.

• Salesforce Developer Certification is preferred.

• Major Plus: Medical Device/Life Science Industry Experience

• Major Plus: Experience with Boomi, salesforce field service/Service cloud platforms.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
