1. Primary Accountabilities
A. Branch Process related
a) Monitor and ensure adherence to documentation and product guidelines for all branches for the gold loan product.
b) Assess the loan applications and supporting documents for completeness and monitor the upkeep and maintenance of registers, notice Board at branch and staff facilities as per compliance guidelines.
c) Define controls to strengthen the branch processes and monitor compliance with process and policy standards, recommend and assess process enhancements and control measures.
d) Train and continuously support the branch staff in the region to create awareness of the risk and importance of compliance., analyse probable risks and devise risk mitigants in-branch processes
e) Facilitate periodic internal and external audits at branches and oversee timely implementation of audit comments.
f) Liaise with the branch for timely submission of data/reports required by other functional departments as also in conduct of the periodic internal and external audit.
B. Cash related
a) Ensure adherence to cash handling process at branches: monitor cash counter opening timings, issuance of letters of authority to branch staff for handling cash at the branch and in transit, oversee system training to branch tellers.
b) Oversee daily cash balancing process at branches, reports on cash shortages/surpluses, fake notes detected, and monitoring of branch petty cash accounts.
c) Engage with branch staff to understand the common issues faced by them in managing cash and offer solutions wherever possible to handle such situations.
d) Monitor adherence to branch cash retention limit, the deposit of cash to Registered Entity’s bank account, reconciliation of branch GL account for such deposits and oversee security measures for safeguarding cash at the branch and in transit.
e) Oversee insurance framework for branch cash and transit insurance for movement of cash to the bank.
f) Address the queries/complaints raised by branches with regard to cash deployment/remittance /soiled/mutilated notes acceptance/rejection.
C. Gold Loan related
a) Oversee arrangements for security framework at branch- Safe deposit Vault for Gold collateral, loan document storage, CCTV system, security guards, transit of collateral for auction etc.
b) Liaise with branches for confirmation on branch monthly checklist for security arrangements and verification of cash and gold loan account packets
c) Liaise with branch and for status on overdue accounts and margin call loans
d) Maintain MIS on gold loans sanctioned with approvals, nature of the exception, approving authority and quantum of loan sanctioned for review by Head-Operations
e) Publish daily gold rates to branches vide intranet/email
D. Reporting
a) Maintain MIS for customer complaints received by branches, timelines for resolution, compensation paid, escalations to Ombudsman and forward reports on the same to Head-Operations.
b) Oversee reporting by branches on STR, CTR, Frauds and suspicious business offers.
c) Maintain a tracker for branch related insurance policies and vendor contracts and monitor renewal on a timely basis.
d) Maintain a tracker for any infra related complaints at branches and liaise with the Infra team for timely resolution.
e) Solicit suggestions from branches for improving sales and portfolio performance MIS and forward them to IT team.
f) Liaise with designated BCP officers at branches, update the BCP document and calling tree whenever required, and monitor BCP/fire drill testing and reporting by branches.
g) Liaise with Infra team for inventory audit at branches on a periodic basis.
E. Learning and Development
a) Complete all mandatory training recommended for the role.
b) Submit at least one proposal each quarter for improvement in the process which results in cost-cutting/ income generation for the Registered Entity.
c) Oversee system training of tellers at branches and compliance-related training for all branch staff.
d) Initiate a week’s cross-functional attachment to develop an understanding of other functions in the organization.
e) Participate in the team discussion and new process implementation discussion to understand the change in the process and regulatory guidelines.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 – ₹1,200,000.00 per year
