POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for a General Ledger Specialist – APAC to join our growing Global Finance Team. This full-time position will be responsible for a broad range of corporate finance responsibilities across the globe including the support of local financial and accounting reporting, oversight of daily operations for regional entities, assistance with the preparation of financial statements, tax returns, and more. This individual will report to our Finance Specialist.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• The General Ledger Specialist is responsible to support the Global Finance Team for the monthly and annual close process. This includes
• Preparation of monthly reconciliations for the Income statement accounts such as pass-through and overheads.
• With appropriate supporting documents, prepare journal entries relating to accruals, prepayments, depreciation, and more.
• Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, accounts payable aging reports, fixed asset workings, and more.
• Assist in preparing Month on Month variance analysis for income statement.
• Perform monthly reconciliation for Intercompany accounts and ensure the intercompany balances are correct.
• Managing journal entries and ensuring proper general ledger coding in support of monthly closings.
• Managing and updating the Fixed Assets register.
• Ongoing maintenance of key finance trackers.
• Strengthen and grow relationships with internal Finance stakeholders and generally respond to all inquiries from internal stakeholders.
• Assist with Financial audits for the entities.
• Assisting with NetSuite projects, clean-up, and maintenance, working with internal Finance teams.
• Execute global bank account reconciliations
• Assist with the preparation of local month-end processes, including the maintenance of the day-to-day journal entries and bookkeeping tasks
• Assist with process improvements and automation projects

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required

• Graduate in Accounting/Finance or equivalent working experience required
• 2+ years of accounting/finance experience is required, preferably in a General accounting role.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and listening skills
• Ability to work with a wider global team and across different time zones if required.
• Technology-literate, including Microsoft Suite and NetSuite
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work in a well-organized manner
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and juggle a variety of tasks
• Ability to take ownership and carry accountability even when working closely together with the team.
