Versa SASE fabric is a multi-service, multi-tenant software platform built from grounds up on cloud principles to deliver scale, segmentation, programmability, and automation. Versa SASE offers both networking and security functions such as secure SD-WAN, ZTNA, SGW, ATP, DLP, CASB, RBI, UEBA etc.
The Security Software Engineer will be at the forefront of architecture, design and implementation of network security services such as ATP, Secure Web Gateway (SWG), Forward and Reverse Proxy, CASB, DLP, Remote Browser Isolation (RBI), User and Entity Behaviour analysis (UEBA), Sensitive Data obfuscation. He/she will be part of and work closely with a team of outstanding software engineers & system test engineers.
Experience
5+ years of related development experience (multiple positions for varying experience levels open)
Educational Qualification
B.E/B.Tech or higher degree in Computer Science/Information Science or equivalent.
Job responsibilities

• Work closely with customers to understand and suggest solutions to complex problems.
• Work on challenging problems.
• Analyse, debug and fix complex issues, continuously drive innovations by working with cross functional teams.
• Assist in solving customer issues and queries reported from the field and drive customer satisfaction.
• Work on sustaining existing features.

Essential Skills

• In-depth knowledge and product development experience of working on one or more layers (Layer3 through Layer7) of the networking stack
• Working experience on data plane forwarding and/or control-plane configuration/signalling
• Proficient on Unix/Linux development environment, experience with multi-processor/multi-threaded programming
• Experience with C, C++, Java and/or Python
• Experience with OOP, Java/J2EE, Multi-Threading, Data Structures/Algorithms
• Experience with Spring MVC framework, REST-API /JAX-RS (Designing, development), messaging (AMQP, RabbitMQ, Redis, Kafka)
• Strong experience with RDBMS, NO SQL (Mongo, Cassandra)
• Experience with REST API usage and definition
• Good knowledge of IDS/IPS/Firewall, DPI, Forward and Reverse Proxies, Antivirus, DLP, CASB, RBI, UEBA, Obfuscation
• Understanding and experience of different application protocols like HTTP, HTTPS, SMTP, TLS, etc
• Proficient in protocol analysis using network traces (PCAPs)
• Experience with high performance and scalable systems
• Expertise in performance tuning and optimizations
