Summary:
Plans computerized databases, including base definition, structure, documentation, long-range requirements, operational guidelines and protection. Ensures accuracy and completeness of data in master files and various support tools, such as base dictionaries. Establishes and maintains security and integrity controls. Formulates and monitors policies, procedures and standards relating to database management. Proposes and implements enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Administer and troubleshoot complex and large size Oracle database systems that serve as the backbone of the Business critical Database/Applications.
Strong practical experience of ORACLE in a production RAC (ASM) environment.
Monitor and optimize performance of the database (SQL tuning), plan for backup and recovery of the database, and allocate system storage and plan future storage needs.
In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in the installation, configuration and troubleshooting of Oracle products and patches, including Oracle 12c, RAC, ASM, Clusterware, Oracle Enterprise Manager 13c.
Proactively manage and maintain security standards and controls.
Oracle management tools (Data Guard, RMAN, Data pump).
Must be a self-starter with a strong attention to detail. Good problem solver, focused and dedicated with ability to work on your own as well as with a team.
Must have worked on data warehousing databased and tools/applications like OBIEE, Informatica, Hyperion.
Provide Development and/or Production support. This includes creating primary database storage structures, partitioning, designing and creating primary objects, modifying database structure as necessary for enhancements or performance, creating documentation, designing interfaces, database objects, and creating plans.
Create database-related scripts and programs to support development and production environments. Research, evaluate, design, test, recommend, and plan implementation of new or improved RDBMS, ETL and database tools.
Good to have knowledge on WebLogic, APEX, EBS administration/installation/configuration.
8+ years of experience, with bachelor of engineering/technology/science degree.
